At CAN Community Health, we believe that access, education, and compassion are key to ending the HIV epidemic. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Walgreens and the Greater Than HIV campaign to offer free, confidential HIV testing at select Walgreens locations nationwide on Friday, June 27, 2025, in honor of National HIV Testing Day.

“This partnership with Walgreens reflects our core mission of empowering wellness,” said Kal Gajraj, PhD, Chief Marketing Officer at CAN Community Health. “By bringing free HIV testing directly into neighborhoods, we’re removing barriers and giving people the tools they need to stay informed, stay healthy, and live well.”

As part of this national effort, CAN Community Health mobile units will be on-site at select Walgreens locations across Florida, Texas, South Carolina, Virginia, Nevada, and Arizona, offering HIV testing, prevention education, and linkage to care.

“Early detection through routine HIV testing is one of the most effective tools we have to stop the spread of HIV,” said Steven Barnett, MD, AAHIVS, Chief Medical Officer at CAN Community Health. “By partnering with Walgreens, we’re reaching people where they are—with compassion, dignity, and care.”

According to the CDC, nearly 1 in 7 people living with HIV in the United States are unaware of their status. Initiatives like this help close that gap by making testing more accessible and normalizing conversations around sexual health.

Together, CAN Community Health, Walgreens, and the Greater Than HIV campaign are building healthier communities—one test at a time.
